dc.description.abstractThe distribution grid has been designed to cater for the various team players namely cities,villages and a factory by using medium voltage.I have calculated short circuit current and operational current of which its values are used to determine which switchgears are most suitable for the distribution grid.This distribution grid is a unique one since I have implemented an ideal distribution transformer and also a spare transformer which is used during emergencies and breakdown of the main transformer.I have also selected the various cables and wires used in the grid since both the factory and cities use cable grids and the villages uses wires in the air.I have also put air coils to reduce the short circuit power leading to a reduction in resistance.This distribution grid is easily implementable with the incorportion of smart grid technologies making it efficient and using renewable energy sources ensuring its sustainability.
