The NHC complex has good coordination abilities, allowing it to build a stable compound with a number of transition metal ions, which can be used to catalyze reactions. Nitron is a relatively new NHC carbene that is currently available. Since the catalytic properties of Nitron complexes are less well understood, I studied and optimized the catalytic properties of the [Ir(cod)(Nitron)(mtppts)] complex in the hydrogenation of Itaconic acid.hu_HU
