The purpose of this thesis is to develop a reliable process for synthesizing oxazepanes from galactoside derivatives, define their structural configurations, and evaluate their potential as efficient iminosugar analogs. The key objective of this comprehensive study was the observation of the effect of the configuration of compounds and the performance of the protective groups in terms of the reaction outcome. If possible, thereby contributing to the increase in the number of biologically active molecules, with exciting therapeutic applications.
