I review how the recovery process takes place after the mining operation on land degraded or damaged due to mining activities in the Zaamar region of central Mongolia. I also summarize what types of plant species are used in the recovery process and how they can be further diversified. With a laboratory experiment, I study the possibilities of how the used seed mixtures can be further diversified and try to indicate similarities and differences among the plant species, as well as the characteristics of the soil, which can give an idea of which species can be planted for biological rehabilitation in central Mongolia.
