This thesis looks at how financial analysis and controls help manage projects, using Blackline Task Management at Sanofi as an example. Blackline, started in 2021, is a tool that automates Sanofi’s financial closing tasks to make them faster and more accurate. It helps the finance team keep track of important tasks, especially during the end-of-month closing. To set it up, I worked with different teams at Sanofi, like project management and digital teams. Being part of the project team gave me real experience with the tool.
