The decreasing effectiveness of antibiotic therapy has renewed interest in phage therapy, as both a promising alternative and a supplement to conventional antibiotics. In this study, bacteriophages active against Morganella morganii — an emerging multidrug-resistant bacterium and an important pathogen in nosocomial infections — were isolated and characterised.
