Absztrakt
In this work, 10 contigs, identified as genomic fragments of Bacillus paranthracis, a member of B. censu lato, were analyzed from the perspective of their CDS content. The CDS regions were identified with Prokka annotation software and verified manually based on reference genomes available at NCBI. The protein products were classified into 18 categories in order to determine the medical and biotechnological potential of the found B. paranthracis strain(s). Most of the encoded proteins were responsible for the primary processes in bacterial metabolism; however, several genes, potentially contributing to virulence and antibiotic resistance, were present. The present work indicates the significance of in-silico methods in current research, while also stating the necessity of further experimental work in order to collect more reliable data.
