This is a descriptive study of some aspects of immigrants’ social life of in 3 European countries: Hungary, Italy, and Sweden including the demography of the immigrants, reasons and patterns of residences, national policy overview towards immigration and the local residences opinion. In addition, paper investigates the psychology of immigrants as well as the social determents of health of immigrants using literature review method. The paper also includes suggestions and tools for social workers with immigrants, in order to reach the optimal goal of the care. It is a beneficial reference for professionals who work with culturally diverse populations and acculturating groups such as international students, immigrants or refugees.
