Stipendium Hungaricum - Comunidad Argentina

Abstract

The thesis of this project is to promote the application to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship in the argentinian academic community through a portal that connects former scholarship holders and potential applicants. Since the number of applicants from the Argentinian Republic is low compared to other countries of the region, MagyarFerro was developed as a web application that provides a space to learn about the scholarship and offers contact options to the interested users. This Full-Stack application uses real life testimonies from former students that would offer their knowledge and experience, who were searched for in argentinian students online communities and voluntarily provided their support for this project. It was developed using basic EJS for HTML rendering and CSS, in addition with the Bootstrap framework, plus JavaScript for the Front-End. Meanwhile for the Back-End, Node.js, and more specifically Express.js, was used, besides MySQL for the database engine. MagyarFerro will offer the potential applicant or simply interested students a first step into both this scholarship and the argentinian community built around it.
