This thesis explores various strategies for achieving sustainable aviation in response to growing environmental concerns and the aviation industry's contribution to global CO₂ emissions. It evaluates alternative fuels, including biofuels, synthetic fuels, and hydrogen, highlighting their potential and limitations. The study also examines emerging technologies such as electric and hybrid aircraft, as well as unconventional designs like blended wing bodies and bio-inspired structures. In addition to technological innovations, the research emphasizes the importance of operational improvements and the integration of other transport systems, such as high-speed rail, to reduce aviation's environmental impact. The findings suggest that no single solution is sufficient; instead, a combination of approaches is necessary. Collaboration among governments, industry, and researchers is essential to realize a more sustainable and efficient future for air travel.
