Absztrakt

The increasing digitalization and rapid technological development impact electricity DSO (distribution system operator) companies, ensuring efficient and reliable power supply for customers. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, which provide real-time monitoring and control over medium- and high-voltage electricity distribution networks, play a crucial role in DSO companies' operations. The introduction of a new SCADA system with a new user interface can significantly change the work of distribution system operators, who work 12-hour shifts per day. The successful implementation of a new SCADA system is essential for uninterrupted power supply and is also a legal requirement. Managing change is critical for organisations, as is staff training and support. My thesis aims to examine how distribution system operators would react to the introduction of a new SCADA system with a new user interface. Understanding employee resistance can help organisations develop strategies to deal with resistance and ensure the successful implementation of the new system.
