Implementation of Lean Manufacturing Tools in the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Industry: Extent and Limitations

The thesis is intended to assess the level of implementation the lean manufacturing tools in the pharmaceuticals industry in Jordan, it includes segments related to the awareness and use of tools and integration with other operational objectives, it also includes assessment of Good Manufacturing practices for general formulation products according to the Jordan Food and Drug Administration on the implementation of lean tools, another segment was directed to assess the process sensitivity of implementation of the lean programs in those companies, the data is based on survey collected from personnel working in the pharmaceutical industry in Jordan, 52 responses were received and analyzed with descriptive statistics, some correlation data was assessed and hypothesis of differentiation amongst the sample segments were assessed. the statistics were based on a 5 level Likert scale and the correlation used was based on Spearman correlation while the hypothesis of differentiation was based on Mann Whitney U test.
