We studied the fragmentation of CBG and its derivatives, which has many pharmacological effects. It has anti-inflammatory and anticancer characteristics sparked intense attention, positioning CBG as a potential contender in the development of new medicines to prevent, regulate, and treat diseases characterized by pathological inflammatory responses and abnormal cell proliferation. In total we fragmented 6 molecules including CBG using MS/MS. In the fragmentation of CBG under negative ion mode side chain of carbon was separated to give us 2 main products and 1 product was obtained by breakage of benzene ring. While under positive ion mode by using APCI only 2 main products were formed by separation of side chains of carbon. In fragmentation of sample 1under both negative and positive ion mode ring as broken and amine group got separated to give us product fragments. In sample 2 fragmentation, with the breakage of ring and separation of amine group side chains of carbon also got separated to give us the product. Fragmentation of sample 3 and 4 were quite similar which took place by separation of diethyl amino methyl group and gave us the product fragments.hu_HU
