A case study focused on the effects of heavy metals on the soil was conducted to learn more about how well-functioning soils can help keep harmful substances out of the environment. One of the techniques that can be used to deal with these issues is Phytoremediation. This involves using plants to remove harmful substances from soil and bodies of water. The study analyzed the effects of zinc and Cadmium on the Sudan grass' ability to tolerate high levels of these heavy metals using seed germination, It was discovered that low concentrations of these two metals promote seed germination and early growth. On the other hand, high concentrations of these two metals did not have a significant effect on grass seed germination.
