Design and Implementation of TaskITManager: A Web-Based Task Management System Using Spring Boot.

Abstract

This thesis documents the design and implementation of TaskITManager. It is a self-hosted, full-stack web-based task management system. It has been built using Java 21, Spring Boot 3, and PostgreSQL. The system was developed to address the gap left by commercial platforms like Trello and Asana, which either lock key features behind subscriptions or are too complex for individual use. The implementation covers a wide range of real-world software engineering concepts including Spring Security authentication, role-based access control, server-side templating with Thymeleaf, and responsive UI design with Bootstrap 5.3.
