In this modern day, the demand for power has increased rapidly there for the need to increase power supply. Increasing the power supply comes at a cost; the generating sector, transmission sector need to be upgraded to suit the power rating. Though equipment has been carefully selected to suit the ratings, unprecedented faults could occur. Faults such as fault currents could reach an abnormal level which is beyond the rating of protection devices. In this thesis, I proposed a method to limit the fault current level using superconducting fault current limiters.hu_HU
