This thesis explores the transformative impact of Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, IoT, big data, and blockchain on performance measurement and quality management in both smart manufacturing and the mining industry. It emphasizes the importance of standardized frameworks like ISO 22400 and ISA-95 for defining and applying key performance indicators (KPIs) in digital environments. By using D.A.M Contracting LLC that is based in the UAE as a case study, the research demonstrates how digital tools improve operational efficiency in sales, marketing, and finance through predictive analytics and automation. A combination of correlation analysis, clustering, and regression modeling reveals a strong link between technological adoption and research data management (RDM) efficiency. The findings provide actionable insights for organizations seeking to transition toward data-driven decision-making. Ultimately, the thesis offers a comprehensive roadmap for leveraging Industry 4.0 innovations to enhance productivity, quality, and sustainability.
