This thesis is about the Simulation of Routing Technics in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and enhancing the existing protocols. One of the major challenges in WSNs is the selection of an appropriate communication protocol that can work effectively in the given environment and application. The choice of protocol and its configuration can have a significant impact on the performance of the network, such as packet loss and energy consumption. In this context, this thesis aims to investigate the impact of different communication protocols and their configurations on the performance of WSNs. The thesis we will examine the possibility of enhancing the Datagram Protocol (UDP) protocol and its configuration on the performance of WSNs. The study examines the impact of adding the Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) protocol and turning on the acknowledgment (ACK) network performance to decrease the packet loss. Furthermore, the thesis investigates the impact of energy consumption in WSNs, Examining energy consumption of each node could be helpful in setting the right energy amount for the nodes based on their consumption, leading to energy and cost savings. Finally, the study examines the impact of node mobility on the performance of WSNs.
