dc.description.abstractThis thesis develops the software to investigate the Air Quality Index (AQI) of a route, using Google Maps API, Open Weather Maps API, and Visual Studio Code for development. The proposed software can be used in any country by any individual, company, school, or organization with a smartphone. With the help of this software, various road commuters would be more educated and be safer on a healthier route before traveling from one location to another, knowing if the quality of air route is safe to travel saving a lot of road commuters from bad air quality and a decrease in air pollution. This was achieved based on the following objectives: • Get data from Google Maps API and Open Weather Map API. • Generate API keys. • Load data from Google Maps API. • Develop implementation to find routes from Origin to Destination. • Develop implementation to find the number of steps from Origin to Destination, hence using the number of steps to generate the air quality index of the software.hu_HU
