dc.description.abstractThe thesis discusses design of a superconducting fault current limiter. It describes the device's role in mitigating fault currents, reviewing different types of SFCLs and their unique qualities, and how each one is preferred depending on the task, also describing the device designed. It analyses the choice of material for the SFCL . It takes into account the length of the superconducting wire in the SFCL and factors influencing this length. It emphasizes the benefits and drawbacks of the SFCL. The thesis also analyzes the challenges involved in the implementation of the SFCL and the solutions to these challenges.
