dc.description.abstractThe book 'Science Strategy' provides researchers in the humanities - and thus in law - with knowledge that is now indispensable in today's competitive scientific milieu. The book is written by a member of the staff of the National University of Public Service and deals with topics of fundamental importance for science strategy. In this book review I will divide them into two major groups. The first is general science strategy, which covers the challenges of training for a doctorate in science, the planning and scheduling of a research project, the choice of appropriate methodology, and the opportunities and potential difficulties of shaping an individual career path. On the other hand, several chapters deal with the issues and practical problems of publication strategy. These include the expectations and conventions of Anglo-Saxon-style academic writing, the structure of articles in high-impact international journals, the process of selecting an appropriate venue and open access. Thanks to its thematic richness, this volume is the first comprehensive summary of the subject of science strategy in Hungarian language, primarily aimed at teachers and students in doctoral schools, but ultimately relevant to all researchers in the humanities.en
dc.description.abstractA bemutatott kötet tematikai gazdagságának köszönhetően a tudománystratégia témakörének első átfogó magyar nyelvű összefoglalása, amelynek elsődleges célközönsége a doktori iskolák oktatói és hallgatói, azonban végső soron minden humán tudományi területen tevékenykedő kutató számára releváns lehet, különösen napjaink kompetitív tudományos miliőjére figyelemmel. A Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem egyik munkaközössége által jegyzett munka alapvető fontosságú tudománystratégiai témákat érint. Ismertetésemben ezeket két nagyobb csoportra osztva mutatom be. Az első az általános tudománystratégia, amely a kurrens kihívásoknak megfelelő tudományos doktori képzést, a kutatási projekt tervezését és ütemezését, a megfelelő módszertan megválasztását és az egyéni karrierút alakításának lehetőségeit és esetleges nehézségeit járja körül. Másfelől számos fejezet foglalkozik a publikációs stratégia kérdéseivel és gyakorlati problémáival. E körben olvashatunk az angolszász típusú tudományos írás elvárásairól és ismerőseiről, a magas presztízsű nemzetközi folyóiratok cikkeinek felépítéséről, a megfelelő közlő hely kiválasztásának folyamatáról és az open accessről.hu
