Baradla-Domica Cave
Absztrakt
The Quaternary epoch is noted for not only many cycles of glacial growth and retreat, but also impactful climate and precipitation variability. The present study brings an insight into the boundaries of Pleistocene and Holocene series from a high-resolution stalagmite stable isotope-based paleoclimate reconstruction record from Baradla-Domica Cave System in Northeast Hungary. The oxygen (δ13C) and carbon isotopic (δ18O) time series are linked to a U-series chronology determined with MC-ICPMS techniques in order to reconstruct the paleoclimate record and correlate it with studies all over Europe.
