With the increasing demand for power capacity, which has caused a much higher level in fault current. It can surpass the maximum ratings of short-current of the switchgear which is designed before. In electric power systems, there are a lot of traditional protective devices which are installed to protect the exceed fault current, like circuit breakers, it is impeded by the relay of over-current protection. They can only be activated after the beginning cycles of two of three faults current pass through, which time is called response time. There is an innovative and creative electrical equipment named Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL), the level of fault current can be limited by it in the first cycle of the fault current. Also, it can reduce the pressure on system equipment as well as the reliability and stability can be promoted.hu_HU
