This thesis discusses optimisation, specifically Quasi-Newton Methods. We discuss the tools used and needed for Quasi-Newton Methods and how they are applied. We go into detail on two specific Quasi-Newton Methods and their properties. Ultimately, we discuss the convergence theory of the BFGS algorithm in detail.
