dc.description.abstractUrbanization has caused so much changes in the environment. These changes have greatly affected biodiversity and generated different problems related to the scarcity of green areas in cities. Different methods have been made to assess and characterize green spaces in urban areas but there has been a lack in applying them to provide real world solutions. Therefore, being able to create an easier way of visualization and analysis of green spaces might help close the gap between understanding the results of expert research and applying them to urban areas. In this paper, an analysis was made on green spaces of Metro Manila via the Rpackage grainscape, in order to provide a better and less complicated way of visualizing and analyzing such spaces. The result showed several characteristics of green spaces through data analysis and graphs which are all important in understanding its spatial dynamics in cities. In this way, it can be used for better urban planning and habitat restoration projects in urban environments.hu_HU
