NaijaGov: E-Government Service Application

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the design and development of a web-based e-government service platform for Nigeria. The system aims to make access to important public services easier by allowing citizens to apply online for selected government documents, such as the National Identification Number (NIN), passport, voter’s card, and other key services. The project uses modern web technologies, with React for the frontend and Spring Boot for the backend, to create a responsive, user-friendly, and efficient application. It also includes an admin panel for managing applications, reviewing submissions, and updating application status. By digitizing these processes, the platform helps reduce delays, improve accessibility, and increase convenience for citizens. Overall, the thesis demonstrates how web application development can support digital transformation in public service delivery in Nigeria.
