dc.description.abstractIn this research study, I compared the genomes of S. boulardii and L. rhamnosus by applying bioinformatic tools, to elucidate the presence or absence of lateral gene transfer event between them. Genomes obtained through illumina sequencing were mapped on to concatenated reference genome of the two species, and applied coverage mapping to determine whether the yeast isolates harboured any bacterial sequences.
