Improvement of Production Processes and Workshop Layout in a Plug-in Assembly Workshop

Abstract

This thesis improves the production process and workshop layout of a manual plug-in assembly line using ECRS principles, facility layout optimization, and LINGO-based assembly line balancing, increasing the line balance rate from 54.54% to 86.41% while reducing the smoothness index from 579.74 to 138.43 and improving overall production efficiency.
