Food Redistribution Project

Abstract

This thesis presents the design and development of a full-stack web application for food redistribution to reduce food waste and support people in need. The system enables donors such as restaurants and shops to post surplus food, volunteers to manage and deliver donations, and beneficiaries to receive assistance efficiently. The application was developed using modern web technologies including React for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, and Prisma ORM with a relational database for data management. Authentication and role-based access control were implemented to ensure secure access for different types of users. The completed system demonstrates an effective and practical solution for improving food donation management and reducing food waste through digitalization.
