dc.description.abstractThis thesis creates an IoT device and service to replace the time-consuming procedural steps of using shared equipment by booking an appointment. In order to solve this issue, this project replaces the conventional key-operated switch with a Wi-Fi-connected RFID IoT switch, which is able to read RFID cards and toggle electricity according to the server’s responses to the user’s requests while online or local decisions while offline. The advantage of using this IoT switch is the elimination of dependency on handover a physical key between clients and the provider while holding reliable records of uses.hu_HU
