Absztrakt

This thesis looks into a decentralized way to protect biometric systems by using blockchain technology to make data more private and secure. Traditional biometric systems often use centralized databases, which leaves them open to data breaches, changes, and people who aren't supposed to be there. To get around these problems, the suggested system uses the shared ledger of blockchain to store biometric data in the form of encrypted codes instead of the actual data itself. This keeps things from changing, makes things clear, and stops single points of failure. Authentication processes are managed by smart contracts, which make identity verification safe and automatic. The research shows that using biometrics along with blockchain can make trust, security, and user control over private information a lot better.
