Bridging Communities: A Web Platform Weaving Communities Together Through Action and Impact

Abstract

The thesis focuses on a full-stack web development for a platform that revolves around organizing and joining charitable and volunteering events. From a technical perspective, React.js, CSS, and Bootstrap were used for the Frontend. Additionally, Java, Spring Boot and SQL formed the basis of the Backend, to reach an environment that positively connects event creators with attendees. Moreover, external API integration was utilized to connect the platform to global donation causes. The platform aims to promote community involvement and environmental stewardship, inspiring action and making contributions to societal/environmental causes more accessible.
