The thesis focuses on the development of a new paradigm of web applications, Progressive web applications development in Java language. It explores tools available for the development of PWAs in Java and the results that can be achieved with them. Additionally, it focuses on the Progressive Web application itself, explaining how it can change the way applications work and are developed. Contrary to web applications, it can offer a downloadable and offline mode that can be used by clients. It shows how to build PWA, why it is useful and concludes with future development suggestions.
