A comparative study was conducted with Colombian and Hungarian children between the ages of 8 and 12 years to evaluate their pro-environmental attitudes. Data obtained through a Likert-scale survey were analyzed using SPSS and Excel. The results indicated mixed responses; Overall, this study underscores the nuanced nature of pro-environmental attitudes in childhood. While initial findings offer valuable insights, further longitudinal and cross-cultural research is warranted to comprehensively understand the development and key determinants of these attitudes. Considering the urgency of ecological challenges, promoting pro-environmental behavior during childhood remains a crucial strategy for ensuring a sustainable future.
