dc.description.abstractThe current research examines the behavior of sodium alginate microbeads loaded with fosfomycin by manipulating several parameters, which are characterized for the goal of assessing bioavailability. A regulated encapsulation approach is utilised to enable further absorption tests in the gastric and intestinal fluids, as well as enhance the dissolution rate, hence improving the overall efficiency of the procedure. The present study investigates the behaviour of sodium alginate beads loaded with fosfomycin by encapsulation using a controlled polymerization approach. This is achieved by altering various parameters to optimise the encapsulation process. This study aims to optimise the operational parameters of encapsulation systems, such as the polymer concentration, polymer solubility in the solvent, and rate of solvent removal, to enhance their efficiency.
