| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the present study is the optimization of selected atomic spectrometric methods for the analysis of arsenic and mercury in Hungarian honey samples. Different techniques have been overviewed, compared, and fine-tuned for the analysis: cold vapor flame atomic absorption (CV-FAAS), direct mercury analyzer and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Different wavelengths and measurement conditions have been used, and the most important analytical performance parameters have been determined. The advantages and disadvantages as well as the limitations of the methods are discussed to lay a groundwork for further research purposes. The aim of optimization of methods has been achieved for some methods but not all. Direct Mercury analysis of honey samples with DMA-80-Evo surpassed all other methods of mercury analysis in terms of sensitivity, efficiency and reliability. For arsenic analysis of honey, ICP-OES at 188.980 nm wavelength with the set parameters proved to be the most sensitive and accurate approach. | |
