This thesis discusses Coronaviruses and HIV in brief, noting how dangerous they have become, but with the rise of DNA editing technologies, novel therapies based on biotechnological processes may become available, in addition to vaccines. Therefore, a theoretical attempt was made to design an insertion of the gene that codes the griffithsin protein into the genome of S. ’boulardii’ using the CRISPR/Cas9 technology and the Benchling software, with the main idea being to give Saccharomyces 'Boulardii” antiviral properties. Likewise, an exploration of the advantages and disadvantages of the methods that can be considered for the correct assembling of the repair DNA following a successful insertion was carried out.hu_HU
