They offer controlled and targeted release, improving treatment efficacy and promoting sustainable construction. They also enable precise and adaptive sensors for real-time environmental monitoring and industrial process control in temperature sensing applications. They have been used in tissue engineering for tissue repair, regeneration, and targeted treatment. However, challenges such as material stability, precise phase transition control, and bio-compatibility remain. Despite these challenges, thermo-responsive polymers are expected to play a larger role in future applications.
