    Explores the role played by strategic planning in business development and competitiveness. I examined the internal and external environment of the BIRC Limited to determine the impact of the management decisions on performance. The paper brings to the fore strong, weak, opportunities and threats of the company. It also demonstrates that effective strategies could enhance the efficiency and future success. On the whole, my study helps to highlight the significance of being flexible and constantly appraising to achieve business sustainability.
