    Application Opportunities And Benefits Of Lean Management Tools In A Dairy Factory

    In this thesis, the applicability of lean management tools in the dairy sector was examined by considering the production process of a fruit yoghurt group produced under the brand "Be Mooore" in a dairy products production company where lean management methods were not used. A comprehensive review of the philosophy, mindset, tools and techniques of lean management is presented.Given the distinct challenges of the dairy products sector, including limited shelf life and stringent hygiene standards, a value stream map was developed for the production processes of fruit yogurt, and bottlenecks and wastes were identified. Concrete recommendations have been formulated to eradicate these impediments, yielding time and cost efficiencies via process enhancements.
