    Colon cancer is a type of cancer that develops or originates from the colon and it is characterised by a high morbidity and mortality rate. Colorectal is the 3rd most common cancer in the world affecting both men and women. Conservative treatments used in colon cancer include; chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Chemotherapy involves the use of anti-cancer drugs in treating colon cancer.
