    Targeted, biological therapy is a new emerging field in the therapy of asthma. It targets specific antibodies or cytokines which are taking part in the inflammatory process of the pathogenesis of the disease. Its use became accessible and possible due to the significant rise in and pre-clinical and clinical knowledge in the field.
