    Poverty alleviation in China under One Belt and One Road—case from Guangxi

    The thesis is about how China developed its own way in the past decades to promote domestic economic growth and poverty alleviation through the One Belt and One Road Initiative. Under the Bretton Woods system, many developing countries, such as China, are underrepresented in the voting process of global economic and financial order. China, in positive seeking to change this embarrasing situation, established the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank(AIIB) to help reshape the economic system of the world. While the AIIB, as a complement to the existing World Bank and International Monetary Fund, is misinterpreted by some scholars as a challenger to the economic system. In this thesis, the focus is on the organic combination of how AIIB and World Bank joint together to promote the poverty alleviation in China, a typical case is provided in support of the idea.
