    A study of UNICEF's assistance to girls' education in Nigeria.

    Girls' education is an important issue of universal concern in the world today. UNICEF, as a permanent member of the United Nations dedicated to the development and rights of the world's children, plays a leading role in the education of girls.Girls' education has always been a serious issue in Nigeria's educational development and UNICEF has provided comprehensive assistance to girls' education in Nigeria in line with its Girls' Education Development Strategy, taking into account the country's national, social and educational development realities.This study analyses the current policy, economic, social and technological environment for girls' education in Nigeria to illustrate the current problems faced by girls' education in Nigeria and the positive impact of some of the effective measures taken by UNICEF in this regard. The study concludes with recommendations for UNICEF's assistance to girls' education in Nigeria.
