    The use of glucocorticoids in the management of many inflammatory conditions may have effective results.But their use is associated with significant morbidity and mortality.Osteoporosis, with resultant fractures, constitutes one of the these morbid complications.Therefore Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing and arranging the treatment is continually recommended by osteoporosis guidelines to patients starting Glucocorticoid therapy for more than 3 months or longer.
