    An analysis of these developmental strategy, implementation, approaches and achievement in the regional policies of European Union. Discovering its economic geography, the European Union identified the most important needs of Europe, then it set its priorities by involving all its institutions and imposing a common management, control and evaluation standards which has led to Europe's radical growth and a unique multi-functional level of governance. During the formulation of European Union there were arguments within the Union members that this enlargement due to economic differences of the states in Europe, there will be narrow and widened gap in the standard of living, developments both in the regional and national levels and unemployment. The European Union must have anticipated these needs hence the creation of various funds to cover its regional planning and implementing the planned programmes. The following are the various funds available for European Union development plans: European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund and Cohesion Fund, European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, they make up the European Structural and Investment Funds. These help to deliver many European Union policies, objectives and complements in different areas like education, employment, energy, environment, single market, research and development.
