Comparison of fruit sector and its international trade positions in Azerbaijan and Turkey

In this thesis, I observed in which international markets they have the biggest competitiveness, government support to fresh fruit and fruit products exports, past successes and failures of both countries in agricultural trade. The main objective of my thesis is to analyze the competitiveness level of Azerbaijan and Turkey in fresh fruit and fruit products exports in a different international market by using SWOT analysis, especially after some geopolitical and economical actions in recent years. My aim is to discuss different types of activities, solutions, methods should governments implement in their programs and projects to increase the fruit production and exports, strengthen their market shares in order to increase sectoral capacity in international trade and gain competitiveness between each other, after making brief and wide research. I gave information about Azerbaijan and Turkey's history, their economic and political life, and the essential place of fruit production and exportation in their economy. The other purpose of using SWOT method was to decide what kind of actions should be taken in the future and what kind of measurements and laws should be implemented for the development of this fruit sector and its exportation in both countries.
