    The effect of policies on the market performance of new energy vehicles - the case of China

    This thesis firstly reviews the development history of new energy vehicles. After that, it examines why China attaches so much importance to the development of new energy vehicles. It then analyses, in the context of the various policies enacted in China, how these policies will actually affect the development of new energy vehicles. Through various data studies, it is shown that the previous rapid development of new energy vehicles cannot be separated from the help of policies. At the same time, in the case of the gradual reduction of policy subsidies, some ideas are proposed for the development of new energy vehicles.
