    Asthma is a common inflammatory disease of respiratory tract. It is caused by the interaction between genetic predisposition and the environmental factors. The characteristics of asthma include airway inflammation and hyperresponsiveness which result in the airway remodeling and obstruction. Endotyping and phenotyping and the correlated biomarkers of asthma have been developed. ICS, beta agonists and bronchodilators are common treatment and nowadays targeted therapy has been developed.
