    Prostate cancer has one of the highest incidence among old men in the world. The radical prostatectomy plays important a role in the treatment of prostate carcinoma. The main indications of radical prostatectomy are low-. intermediate- and high-risk prostate carcinomas, when the tumor is organ confined or locally advanced. This operation can be performed with open surgical, laparoscopic and robotic assisted laparoscopic surgical techniques. The radical prostatectomy provides excellent oncological outcome with acceptable postoperative functional complications.
